Daian is a two-year old boy living in Argentina. I have known his mother Marianela since he was only a few months old. He has a congenital condition which has seen him in and out of hospital throughout his life. All profits from this week’s tango classes will go towards the medical bills for his new treatment.

Tangolicious is opening up again in Chelsea! I have finally found a great new venue for the Thursday drop-in.
Ixworth Hall is located on Ixworth Place, SW3 3QG, just across the road from the fashionable MyHotel Chelsea (just through the Samuel Lewis Trust entrance).
Classes at Ixworth Hall commence on Thursday 26th February and will be ongoing, from 7.00-8.00pm each week.
£10 per class or purchase the 5-class Saver Card for £45.

Danceworks sent me some lovely photos of the Argentine Tango class at their Open Day on Sunday 1st Feb.
It was a great class at max capacity with 23 people attending. Students were mostly absolute beginners but by the end of the class many had mastered not only the walks and basic salida, but also how to lead and follow forward and backwards ochos.
Thanks to all who came, I look forward to seeing you at the Tuesday drop-in and hope to have another Open Day in the coming months. Watch this space!

This Sunday 1st February, Danceworks are holding another Open Day. There will be over 25 classes to try, all for free, running from 11am until 6pm.
Last October’s Argentine Tango class at the Open Day was so popular it was over-subscribed, with over 25 students attending. So they have asked me back this Sunday to teach another. Here are the details:

The tango show held at Chelsea Theatre last Thursday was a great success, enjoyed by all those who attended and who took to the floor for the milonga after. Congratulations and thanks to Vincenzo Muro, the organiser.
Many thanks, too, to Jose Correia who took this video of myself and Andy Ong sharing the stage with Alex Barberi and Roberta Priori. It was lovely dancing to live music played by Natoma Duo, Natalia Cerqueira and Tomasz.
