Basic Forward Ochos And Easy Adornments

Here is a slow exercise with pivot warm-up suitable for beginners or intermediates, showing the basic forward ochos as well as crossing adornos (adornments) and single rulos (circles).

Tip! The most important thing is to make sure you only pivot on one foot. This is a general rule for followers in tango – by always keeping the weight on the ball of the foot you have just stepped onto, you will avoid taking the next step with the wrong foot or confusing the leader by having weight on both.

Practice these for a few minutes a day and see a difference in your dancing.

Happy Tangoing!
